Forget the stars of X-Factor bringing the heat to your Saturday night; it’ll be Durex getting the public hot under the collar as the brand launches its first TV campaign to be shown before 11:00pm.
Guaranteed to make an impact, Durex will be showcasing its Play range from 9:00pm onwards, which means the viewers of programmes such as Ugly Betty and I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here will experience the Durex Play effect in the middle of their favourite shows.
Offering a taste of the pleasure you can have with Durex Play, the adverts feature a variety of women orgasming to Mozart’s Aria. Designed to promote how Durex Play products can help women everywhere improve their sex lives – healthy, happy sex is something everyone should enjoy, so why not showcase the fun on TV?
The sexy talk doesn’t end on the screen either, as Durex launches a range of outdoor posters. The posters will debut in London bars from 23 November, as well as appearing in ladies washrooms around the city. Just as Durex isn’t your average brand, these aren’t your average posters – they will communicate with passersby through audio. When topping up your lip gloss in the vicinity of a poster, a cheeky chap will read out a cheesy chat-up line: “Hi, I’m Mr Right. Someone said you were looking for me?” “Is that a ladder in your tights? Or the stairway to heaven?” Guaranteed to catch your attention and make you giggle at his cringe-worthy attempts…
Keep your eyes peeled for an orgasmic experience from Durex Play this winter.
If you fancy using some cheesy chat up lines, why not try one of these:
“I’ve forgotten my phone number. Can I have yours?”
“Do you believe in love at first sight, or should I walk by again?”
“You look like a parking ticket… You’ve got fine written all over you.”
“I’m feeling a little off today. Would you like to turn me on?”
Now don’t I just feel like a proper grown up blogger now? This is my first ever review, and so if I leave something out or ramble on about something too much, please let me know, ok? The lovely people over at Durex sent me a bottle of their ‘Play-O’ orgasm gel, which is celebrating its first birthday at the moment to review for y’all and I have to say I was pretty impressed. The packaging is rather luxurious, as far as a cardboard box can go, and the bottle is made of glass rather than plastic (or at least, that’s what it looks like!) It also comes seperately from the pump in transit to avoid any spillages and to stop it drying out, which I thought was pretty clever! It looks pretty classy and I accidentally left it on my desk whilst people were coming in and out of the room, and no one really noticed or commented, which was good!
It’s supposed to ‘increase sexual desire as well as heightening sensitivity to the clitoris through a heady mix of invigorating ingredients resulting in the most intense, leg-quivering orgasms you’ve ever experienced’.
Now, I’m not sure about the most intense, but it definitely wasn’t bad! When applied it takes a few seconds to get going, and then feels really tingly (a lot like any tingly lube you might have tried!) and definitely focuses your attention in the right places! The intensity of the sensation wears off after a while, but there’s still a lovely warming/cooling feeling left – which is odd, but in a good way! Again, if you’ve tried any tingling lubricants before then you’ll know what I’m talking about. I maybe applied it three or four times in one session to keep the tingling feeling strong, and although that’s a bit of a pain it could also be construed as a good thing – it’s easier to put more on to make it stronger than to take it off to make it weaker if you’re not enjoying it. I also think the more intense your ministrations, the quicker the sensation rubs off.
Ruth Gresty, brand manager of Durex Play, commented, “According to our Global Sexual Wellbeing Survey, Play O heightened sensitivity in women by 68% and wait for it…79% of women achieved an orgasm when using it!”
I am one of the 79% of women, but that may be down to my skillful handiwork than the Play-O, it’s difficult to tell! I think with this product it’s a mixture of the lovely sensation (although it dulls over time it’s still quite pleasant!) and the psychological aspect – the tingling means you cannot let your mind drift onto sometime else and therefore it’s easier to orgasm! Woo!
It’s not a lube, but it feels very similar to a lot of lubes that I’ve used and even with a small amount it makes things nice and slippery, which obviously contributes to an easier and better orgasm. And another thing, which I really liked, it doesn’t go tacky and horrible after you’ve been playing for a while, which I’ve found to be a problem with Durex lubes. It’s also condom compatible and doesn’t stain.
Overall I really liked this product, and would definitely recommend it for a novel sensation and some fun times. I can’t vouch for it helping women to orgasm who find it difficult, but it’s always worth a go and it’ll be fun no matter the end result. It can be used alone or with a partner, or a vibrator for that matter, and if you want something a bit different then go for it.
It can have four kisses out of five, because I would have liked the sensation to have been stronger and lasted longer, although that’s my personal preference. If you’ve tried it out, let me know what you think, and any feedback for the review (as long as anything negative is said contructively, you don’t want to make me cry now do you?) would be much appreciated.

So on occasion, I get sent some pretty random things to review for BeautyMecca that have, at best, a tenuous link to the world of beautification (Fun Betty the hair colour for ladies’ mimsy fur, I am talking about you) but I think we have a winner.
Play O is a new lubricant from Durex that is designed to, well, you can imagine what it’s designed to do. Apparently, 79% of British women achieved orgasm by using the Durex Play O product but tragically, all it did for me was remind me that I am not getting any… But my own personal hell aside, we all know that good sex leads to a good complexion (fact) and the need for less blusher. Which would actually be great because right now because I’m almost all out of my Bobbi Brown Blue Raspberry limited edition from last year. Anyone want to volunteer? 79% are odds I like.
From a BeautyMecca perspective, the Durex Play O bottle is quite cute and so wouldn’t scare people if you forgot to hide it in your secret drawer.
The Big ‘O’ the benchmark of sexual satisfaction, but just how often do we achieve it?
An orgasmic gel for women, Durex Play O increases sexual desire as well as stimulating the clitoris through a clever mix of invigorating ingredients, resulting in intense, pleasurable orgasms.
Global Sexual Wellbeing Survey has found that Durex Play O heightened sensitivity in women by 68% and 79% of women achieved an orgasm when using it!

Admittedly, I’m not much of a lube loyalist. I’ve always felt that lube serves an important purpose between the sheets, but that pretty much any brand will do, and that it’s likely to come with a sticky residue and “plasticky” aftertaste.
So when I was given a chance to “field test” the new Durex Line of “play” lubes, I wasn’t exactly expecting fireworks. But the new Durex line of lubes not only surprised me, it impressed me. Durex managed to create not one, but four new lubes that taste great, and don’t leave that typical sticky residue.
For oral play, the “very cherry” and “pina colada” (yes, even the pina colada) flavors actually taste just like candy…even though they’re sugar free. And for the complete ride, “tingle” and “heat” add just enough sensation to satisfy. All four glide on smooth and stay that way, even during extended play when other lubes just dry up, or turn into a sticky, gooey mess. And keeping safety top of mind, they’re water soluble making them safe to use with condoms.
So when you’re planning your next sexy adventure, I recommend picking up a tube of Durex Play lube, or even a variety pack and have fun trying all the flavors and sensations. The packs are small and discreet so you can hide them away easily until just the right moment.
In the world of sex, lube always seems like the poorer cousin when compared to the next best vibrating, spinning, pop goes the weasel toy. But for a fraction of the cost, the right lube can knock your next sexy adventure out of the park. In my books, you can’t enjoy the ride without the glide and Durex Play lubes are definitely worth a try!

Here goes: When my girlfriend received this lube she was surprised at how neatly packaged this was. It looks just like a perfume bottle and I must say even I was impressed at how discreet it looked. I was worried when I first applied it to her as she did say she went a little bit too tingly but the orgasm that followed was apparently “mind-blowing!” It’s great if you fancy a quickie and want to make sure she climaxes when you do.
The verdict: This is a great bedroom addition if you want to guarantee prompt, pleasurable sex for her as well as you. Just be careful she doesn’t become too fond of it and start using it without you!
Mary Roach, author of the books Stiff, Spook and Bonk rounded up 10 surprising facts about orgasms. While us ladies spend absurd amounts of time reading articles, trying out new toys and using new fangled ways of fantasizing in order to get more of them consistently—you’ll be interested to learn orgasms can biologically happen while dead and not touching your genitals at all. Yeah. Go figure.Chinese Demolish Sex Theme Park
1.) Some Think Babies In The Womb Masturbate: Mary’s first orgasmic slide showed pictures of ultrasounds where she pointed out babies grainy hands and how doctors witnessed boys grasping at what would become their penis. She said while in full effect the hand/penis motion was similar to that of masturbating.
2.) Some People Have Reported Orgasms Without Touching Their Genitals At All: This is going to make everyone vomit, but Roach swears she met a woman who says she can “think herself” into having an orgasm. Roach reportedly watched this while interviewing her for a book. While the easiest route to an O-face is, for sure, through the genitals, Mary is quick to point out that arousal is part of the autonomic nervous system (same as breathing, your heart beat) and therefor not something we directly have control over. Indeed, people have reported reaching orgasm by brushing their teeth or in cases of spinal injury victims sometime right above their injury.
3.) Orgasms Happen To Dead People: Or at least they can. If the sacral nerves in the spinal chord (orgasm headquarters as she calls it) are oxygenated and stimulated, then there isn’t any reason why a dead person can’t climax. There you have it. Now don’t try to think too hard about it.
4.) Orgasm Can Cause Bad Breath: Doctors have detected a slight odor on the tongues of women for up to an hour after they’ve had intercourse. (note to self: throw some gum in your overnight bag)
5.) Orgasm Can Cure Hiccups: This one isn’t really surprising, but a man had incurable hiccups that were swiftly cured once he climaxed during sex with his wife.
6.) Doctors Once Thought Orgasm Made Conception More Likely: There was a theory amongst doctors a hundred years ago or so that vaginal contractions help sucked semen up the cervix. It was called “up-suck.” However, upon further investigation by the research team Masters and Johnson in the 1950s this up-suck theory was proven to be a bunch of bull. This is going to make you queasy, but they implanted “fake semen” in a woman’s cervix and then studied whether or not it traveled farther after orgasm. No such luck.
7.) Pig Farmers, However, Still Believe In Up-suck: Mary showed the audience a charming video of farmers mounting lady pigs and attempting to stimulate their vulva. Apparently, there was a 6% increase in baby piggies when the lady sows were actually turned on at the time of sex. Well, we hope it’s good for the pigs as it is for the farmers.
8.) They Make Pig Vibrators: Yes, they do. Wrap your head around that one.
9.) Studying Female Orgasm Is Difficult: At one point scientists attached a video camera to a glass, phallic type structure and inserted it into women in order to study what happened to the lady’s insides while being penetrated. We can’t imagine the results would be the same had it been a real penis, but hey, this is their ball game not ours.
10.) Alfred Kinsey Liked To Study Ejaculate: Yeah, the first part of this should come as no surprise but the fact he found a guy who could shoot eight-feet is pretty impressive. On the flip-side, three-quarters of men he studied weren’t impressive at all. We think the words “just dribbled out” were used.

Women who regularly have orgasms are more energetic and suffer fewer illnesses than females who are left wanting more after sex sessions, says a new research .
According to a team from the Women’s Health programme in Australia, females who rate their sex lives highly have more vitality and a better psychological outlook than those who have sex less than twice a month.
Researchers analyzed sex lives of almost 300 females aged from 20 to 65 to reach the conclusion. Lead researcher Dr Sonia Davison, of the Women’s Health Program at Monash University, Australia, said: “We found that women who were sexually dissatisfied had lower well-being and vitality.
“This finding highlights the importance of addressing these areas as an essential part of healthcare, because women may be uncomfortable discussing these issues with their doctor.”
As over 90 percent of women in the study reported their sexual activity involved a partner, and was initiated by the partner at least 50 percent of the time, the sexual activity of the women may have been affected by partner presence (or absence), partner health, and sexual function, which were not addressed in the study.
“The fact that women who self-identified as being dissatisfied maintained the level of sexual activity reported most likely represents established behaviour and partner expectation,” said Professor Susan Davis, senior author of this study, also based at the Women’s Health Program at Monash University, Australia.
“It also reinforces the fact that frequency of sexual activity in women cannot be employed as a reliable indicator of sexual well-being,” the expert added. Sexual medicine expert Dr Irwin Goldstein said: “This emphasizes the role and importance of sexual health in women’s overall health and well-being.”
